Well, the first draft is anyway! And it is currently in the hands of my beta readers.

With that being said, I've been told I need to start the next book in the series. Eeeek. Now I really need to be held tight. 

Yes, there will be a book 2. It will be a part of the "Secrets" series, but can be read as a standalone. 

It is yet untitled, but I am tossing around some title ideas. It will feature 2 characters from Secrets of Submission. 

And no, I can't tell you yet who they are. 

*insert evil laugh here*

Exciting News!!

I have some exciting news to share that was just confirmed today!

Previously, I was attending this great con called A Weekend with the Authors in Nashville from May 13-15, 2016 as a reader. Well, I can tell you that now I will be attending this con as a SIGNING AUTHOR!

Myrtle Beach Writer's Retreat

Myrtle Beach Writer's Retreat

But before I talk about the retreat, here are a couple new teasers for you!

This week I'm in Myrtle Beach with 8 other amazing authors for a writer's retreat. Today is the first full day I've been here and my goal was to write 2K words! As I sit down to write this blogpost I am only 150 words short of my goal, so before I go to bed, it will be met! Which is super exciting for me as that will be my biggest daily word count ever. 

It also puts me 2,000 words closer to typing The End. Which WILL be done on Sunday. This means that the unedited first draft will be in the hands of my beta readers by Monday. If all goes well, that also means the semi-edited first draft will be in the hands of my editor by April 1. That will then give me almost an entire month to edit and have the book ready for my readers, hopefully by May 3. I'm beyond excited and extremely nervous!

I hope the book is well received and that you all love Marcus and Penny's story as much as I do!

I also may have a surprise announcement in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

Pay It Forward Writer's Retreat - Charleston

Hi guys! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I know I did. I spent the weekend in Charleston, SC with a ton of authors for the Pay It Forward Writer's Retreat. 

I'm a ridiculously slow typer/writer for several reasons. I have so many scenes in my head that I can't decide which one to write first. And I'm unbelievably easily distracted. Truly, I'm like, oooh, let's write, wait squirrel! Which makes it difficult for me to get a lot of words down. But, I actually wrote over 2,300 words this weekend, which is a record for me. 

I'm on track to have the book to my beta readers in about 2 weeks from tomorrow (EEEEEEKKKKK!). That means I could be published as early as May 1, 2016! So, stay tuned for more updates as the time draws near. 

I'm also looking into book signings for next year! So, stay tuned for book signing info! 

I'm also planning on adding to my blog book recommendations for the week.

So here's some exciting news I just got yesterday! I was introduced to this cool writer's retreat in Charleston, SC called Pay It Forward. It is going to be a weekend spent with several amazing authors including the likes of Kendall Grey, Danielle Allen, Ella Jade, Lacey Wolfe, and so many more. I am over the moon with excitement about being able to hang with these very cool people and hopefully get some great writing tips. And the networking sure helps when you're a budding author trying to get her name out there. But now on to the stuff that you really care about, lol.
